Responsibilities
Leads and oversees the activities of the Billing Department
Ensures compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations in regard to coding, billing and data management
Supervises and manages the billing, and collections staff in handling payer relations
Addresses complex complaints and issues
Oversees all billing department operations including prior authorizations, coding and documentation, claim preparation and submission, denials and appeals, the accounts receivable and collections process, and customer service
Collaborates frequently with the accounting department as well as work closely with many other departments within BCDI
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree or equivalent education and experience
Two plus years supervisory experience
Knowledge of medical terminology utilized in medical billing, current office practices and procedures, and advanced math
Ability to elicit and evaluate information, sometimes of a highly personal and sensitive nature
Ability to read, interpret, and apply regulations, policies, and procedures
Preferred
Eight plus years' experience managing the revenue cycle process preferred
