Responsibilities

Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the month end close, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts and variance analysis of the financial statements

Assist with the development of the accounting reports and functionality of the company’s enterprise resource planning software, Sage X3

Conduct financial analysis and prepare supporting schedules required for internal and external reporting and for use in the preparation of the tax provision and tax return

Oversee inventory valuation, including tracking/valuing all materials, work in progress and finished goods at month-end

Oversee cycle count program and annual physical inventory count. Perform the review of inventory obsolescence and excess inventory in accordance with company policy

Support Sales Team with evaluating customer credit applications and determining appropriate credit limits based on risk and in accordance with company policy

Assist with preparation of the annual budget

Implement necessary financial and IT controls to ensure a strong internal control environment

Other related ad-hoc reporting and analysis as necessary

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required

Proven leadership skills in team management and people development

Ten plus years of relevant experience, including strong cost accounting

Hands-on experience and knowledge of all aspects of accounting, financial analysis and planning including: forecasting, budgeting, cost/benefit analysis, cash flow analysis, cost reduction initiatives, capital evaluation and justification, internal controls

Expert analytical and Excel skills; able to manipulate high volumes of data

Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees of all levels

Highly responsive to requests, with a high attention for detail and accuracy

Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team

Must be flexible and able to multi-task in a time-sensitive environment
