The role involves preparing and maintaining accounting records, financial planning, and analysis for decision support, along with various finance-related tasks.

Responsibilities

Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures

Prepare and file Sales & Use tax monthly, quarterly and annually

Review and coding freight & broker transactions and billing

Handle intercompany accounts payable process

Process fixed asset and depreciation transactions

Assist with month/quarter/year-end closing activities (journal entries, reserve calculations, inventory valuation, intercompany reconciliation, etc.)

Assist with prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities

Develop and document accounting processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls

Record acquisition, movement, and disposal of fixed assets and track idle assets

Support audit requests from internal and external auditors

Complete special projects and assignments as required
