Commercial Loan Associate
EastRise Credit Union is seeking a Commercial Loan Associate to provide administrative and operational support to Commercial Loan Officers. The role involves preparing and reviewing loan documentation, managing filing systems, and delivering responsive member service throughout the lending process.

Responsibilities
Conducts thorough reviews of Loan Approval Reports and all supporting corporate and collateral documentation—including certificates of existence, flood determinations, appraisals, lien and title searches—to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and federal lending guidelines
Prepares precise and compliant loan documentation using LaserPro for both complex and standard commercial loan closings, ensuring alignment with EastRise Credit Union’s credit standards
Coordinates all aspects of the loan closing process in collaboration with Commercial Loan Officers
Communicates directly with members, attorneys, and accountants to collect required entity documentation, financials, and insurance information
Ensures timely and accurate delivery of closing documents and provides a seamless experience through strong verbal and written communication
Assembles and submits complete loan files to OnBase and the File Library, ensuring all documentation is accurate and properly archived
Conducts post-funding reviews and cross-checks core systems to verify correct loan booking
Tracks receipt and accuracy of final title policies and insurance certificates to ensure compliance and completeness
Maintains and monitors outstanding tickler items to ensure timely follow-up and resolution
Provides document checklists to Commercial Loan Officers, tracks documentation exceptions, and assists in collecting outstanding items
Manages the annual financial information request process and coordinates UCC expiration reviews with Loan Servicing
Facilitates the ordering of appraisals through the Appraisal Desk using EastRise’s internal systems and technologies
Ensures timely processing and alignment with underwriting and closing timelines
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
A minimum of one year up to three years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience
A college degree
Must be at least 18 years of age
Favorable Background, Credit, Criminal, Bondability, and Reference Checks required
Travel to other branches or locations may be required depending on position
Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control
Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise
Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team
Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions
Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence
Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations with extreme accuracy
Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public
Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace
Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities
Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters
