Metric Geo is seeking an experienced Travelling MEP Superintendent to oversee large-scale data center construction projects across the United States. The role involves coordinating and managing all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing activities on-site, ensuring work is completed safely and to the highest technical standards.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate all on-site MEP trades and subcontractors
Lead daily field operations related to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems
Ensure installation, testing, and commissioning meet design specifications and client standards
Collaborate with design and BIM teams to resolve field issues in real time
Conduct regular safety audits and enforce site safety protocols
Drive productivity, quality control, and adherence to project schedules
Manage MEP progress reporting, RFIs, and coordination meetings
Support factory witness testing, equipment start-up, and integrated systems testing
Work with commissioning agents to deliver fully validated and operational data centers

Required

7+ years' experience in MEP supervision within large commercial, industrial, or mission-critical environments
Deep technical understanding of mechanical cooling systems, electrical distribution, and fire/life safety systems
Strong ability to interpret MEP drawings, specifications, and submittals
Excellent leadership, communication, and scheduling skills
Comfortable with extensive travel and temporary site assignments (typically 3–6 months per project)

Preferred

Proven experience delivering data center, semiconductor, or healthcare projects
OSHA 30 certification
