Responsibilities

Assess renewal accounts to determine acceptability based on underwriting guidelines and authority granted

Underwrite and monitor various classes of insurance business while achieving profitability targets and SLA standards

Creates, analyzes, and interprets data from various systems and underwriting resources

Effectively communicate (written/verbal) information to both internal and external customers to ensure our standards of excellence are maintained

Promotes consistency among underwriting team by contributing knowledge and soliciting feedback relative to underwriting philosophy and company goals

Provides guidance and support on policy servicing to our Service & Delivery team

Develop, maintain and enhance existing general agent relationships

Required

0–2 years of experience in P&C underwriting, renewal underwriting, or related commercial lines insurance roles

Solid understanding of commercial P&C coverages, risk selection, and pricing fundamentals

Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret loss experience, exposure changes, and underwriting data

High attention to detail and strong organizational skills; able to manage renewal workload in a fast-paced environment

Effective written and verbal communication skills, including comfort discussing underwriting decisions with brokers/General Agents

Proficiency in common business tools (Excel, Outlook, Workbench, Ategrity One and AI tools)

Preferred

Prior experience with Ategrity renewals
