Responsibilities

Development of one-line diagrams and network architecture

Specification of control hardware, including PLC components, HMIs, VFDs, and network components

Creation of PLC-based control panel and low voltage motor starter panel wiring schematics, panel layout drawings, and bills of materials, either directly or by supervision of in-house or outsourced design resources

Raceway/cable sizing and routing

Coordination with project process engineering and programming teams to provide a complete and functional system

Support purchasing and manufacturing activities related to panel and assembly construction

Perform or support factory acceptance testing and troubleshooting

Support field service team during system commissioning and startup, which may include remote or on-site work

Development and refinement of SAMCO standards and documentation of best practices related to electrical and control system design
