Responsibilities
Lead and supervise field operations for major component exchanges on wind turbines, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to Field Service Technicians I, II, and III
Ensure safety protocols are adhered to, with an emphasis on proactive safety leadership and a safety-first mentality
Develop and implement work scheduled, allocate resources, and oversee job-site logistics
Review and approve service reports and documentation for accuracy and completeness
Communicate effectively with management and clients regarding project progress, challenges, and successes
Conduct risk assessments and troubleshooting for complex issues and provide solutions to minimize downtime
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and exceptional service delivery
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent; advanced technical certifications or degree in renewable energy or in wind turbine technology preferred
7+ years of hands-on experience with wind turbine maintenance and operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
Take reasonable care of your own and others' health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward the company's Zero Injury principles
Advanced technical knowledge of wind turbine systems, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components
Proven experience leading teams and managing complex field projects
Commitment to proactive safety culture, with a focus on zero-harm practices; strong understanding of safety standards and risk management practices
Required to travel to different jobsites on a limited notice
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team
Preferred
advanced technical certifications or degree in renewable energy or in wind turbine technology
