Responsibilities
Develop high-fidelity modeling and simulation for radar tracking algorithms to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA)
Conduct performance analyses and trade studies on tracking functions
Provide algorithm design feedback of low-to-high fidelity LRDR RepBox code that incorporates: Sensing phenomenology; Signal processing; Detection, tracking, and discrimination functionalities; Interface dependencies with other Ground-Based Midcourse Defense components
Provide expertise in radar tracking and sensor fusion
Coordinate analysis activities and products with functional group leads, senior management, and government personnel
Prepare detailed reports and briefings to document analysis results
Present findings to the MDA
Provide continuous recurring guidance (derived requirements) for the development and sustainment of a RepBox “black box behavior and effects level” for a Long-Range Discrimination Radar (LRDR) RepBox models
Analyze RepBox anchoring runs and compare to HWIL runs (flight test and/or ground test)
Act as liaison for RepBox development team when obtaining reach-back support from Moorestown LRDR prime contractor to better model algorithms and performance for the model
Identify and elaborate feature improvements to the RepBox LRDR model
Provide continuous feedback to the RepBox development team to guide development of applicable models particularly with new algorithm designs, higher fidelity recommendations, interface changes, and anomalous behavior
Define Certification criteria for the applicable LRDR radar model RepBox and provide Certification statements as the Radar SME that the subject radar meets the defined criteria for the intended use
Provide certification level radar SME analysis support with anchoring data to HWIL and RepBox provided run output. Any off nominal or out of family results will be documented and reported to the RepBox development team
Travel will be required to visit LRDR prime contractor for additional training and instruction on LRDR capabilities, features, and data analysis
