Academy Technician

The Academy Technician role involves participating in a cohort-based program that combines classroom learning with hands-on experience at nuclear sites, focusing on the installation and maintenance of equipment.
Responsibilities
Install, troubleshoot, assemble and disassemble, repair and maintain tooling and equipment
Conduct a variety of routine field tasks including, but not limited to operating specialized equipment, taking measurements, compiling data, and performing without error in high stress environments
Maintain maintenance logs and certification documentation
Comply with all applicable safety and health rules including personal dose compliance
Work flexible hours and shifts, as required, to ensure timely service
Travel to a variety of remote job sites. (Travel: Up to 50%)
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent education
Basic knowledge of mechanical tooling and equipment
Basic communication skills to comprehend, follow direction and convey detailed technical data
Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships, work collaboratively within a team environment
Good problem identification and problem resolution skills
Exhibits questioning attitude and practices self-checking
