PlanIT Group, LLC is seeking a Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of wheeled vehicles and associated systems. This role ensures the operational readiness and safety of vehicles used in transportation, logistics, or tactical operations.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine and scheduled inspections of wheeled vehicles

Use diagnostic tools and software to identify mechanical and electrical faults

Perform oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and lubrication

Maintain service records and ensure vehicles meet operational standards

Repair or replace components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, axles, and suspension systems

Conduct overhauls and rebuilds of major vehicle systems when necessary

Troubleshoot and repair lighting, ignition, and charging systems

Replace batteries, alternators, and wiring harnesses

Inspect, rotate, and replace tires

Perform wheel alignment and balancing

Maintain and repair hydraulic brakes, steering systems, and lift mechanisms

Replace seals, hoses, and fittings as needed

Provide mobile repair services in field or remote environments

Recover and tow disabled vehicles

Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE

Ensure vehicles comply with environmental and operational regulations

Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition

Track parts usage and assist with inventory control
