Responsibilities
Provide engineering support for the design and development of new and existing medical device products
Support current products by improving quality, manufacturing efficiency, supply continuity, and cost
Work on technical and cross-functional projects and contribute innovative ideas to improve product performance and develop new solutions
Understand customer and user needs through research, interviews, observation, competitive analysis, prototyping, and clinical or simulated use studies
Translate these needs into clear engineering requirements and product, packaging, and process specifications
Apply engineering fundamentals to design robust, manufacturable products
Develop and execute test methods and experiments, including writing and running protocols, analyzing data, and documenting results
Prepare technical reports to support design verification, testing, and product changes
Generate engineering documentation such as work instructions, test methods, drawings, and prototypes
Create and update design control documents, including requirements and risk management files
Support and coordinate technician activities by assigning tasks, providing training, and reviewing work
Work with suppliers to define specifications, tolerances, and acceptance criteria
Ensure compliance with company quality systems and all applicable regulatory and safety requirements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Biomedical preferred)
2–4 years of engineering experience in medical device development
Experience with product testing, data analysis, and technical reporting
Hands-on experience with lab or industrial equipment
Basic knowledge of statistical methods
Proficiency with MS Office
Preferred
CAD experience
