Responsibilities

Perform transmission network modeling updates to enterprise engineering models used in the Energy Management System and wholesale market software
Conduct functional and regression testing for Day-Ahead/Real-Time Market applications, Market Quality Solutions, and Transmission Network Applications (SE, RTCA, VSA, DSA)
Validate that software and network models comply with business rules, policies, and operational reliability
Demonstrate awareness of policy issues; anticipate, identify, and resolve engineering-related problems
Maintain current applications, analyze system errors, identify root causes, and support timely issue resolution
Partner with internal teams to define functional requirements and improve understanding of system capabilities
Integrate, enhance, test, and support DAM, RTM, MQS, and other advanced operational applications
Assist in designing, testing, documenting, and delivering user training materials as needed

Required

Support power system studies
Integrate and enhance power system models
Support advanced applications that depend on these models
Act as a tester for Real-Time and Day-Ahead Market applications and network applications including State Estimator (SE), Real-Time Contingency Analysis (RTCA), Dispatcher Load Flow, and other EMS tools
Identify and resolve engineering-related issues
Coordinate software changes with internal teams and vendors
Provide technical and business-rule support to other departments and external entities
Participate in initiatives such as the Energy Imbalance Market (EIM) and Reliability Coordination (RC)
