HVAC Mechanical Engineer
Cimarron Inc. is seeking HVAC Mechanical Engineers to support the Engineering and Manufacturing Development phase of the US Air Force’s Sentinel program in Ogden, UT. The role involves designing HVAC systems, specifying equipment, and coordinating with engineering teams to ensure compliance with design requirements and safety standards.

Responsibilities
Collect the HVAC, safety, and other data and requirements for HVAC and/or other support systems
Design the system and specify the equipment to meet the applicable design requirements
Procure the equipment in accordance with applicable QA requirements
Coordinate with the engineering group and other disciplines in developing the detailed system design and specifying equipment in a team environment
Prepare reports and studies in resolving open technical issues related to the process systems
Develop and revise ventilation and instrument diagrams, formal calculations, and equipment datasheets and specifications in completing the detailed design for the system, including equipment selection
Support the associated safety analyses and hazards evaluations
Qualification
Required

Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance in a reasonable timeframe
This position requires access to federal facilities. Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real ID-compliant driver's license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire. 2 or more years of experience designing and constructing HVAC systems
Knowledge of industry and regulatory guides, codes, and standards
Experience with performing airflow calculations for Mechanical/HVAC systems and equipment on power plants, refineries, or chemical process facilities
Experience with HVAC equipment selection
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited university or college with 6 or more years of related experience
Preferred
Experience working with vendors on the procurement of equipment
Experience in CGD and/or Environmental Equipment Qualification
Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering examination
Experience with Trane TRACE™ 700 and VariTrane™ Duct Designer software
Microsoft Office products (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Prior experience working with Government agencies, preferably DOE or DOD
