Responsibilities

Lead, manage and develop a group of 10-15 Quality Engineers (QEs)
Be a collaborative member of the BU leadership team that develops and executes the strategies and priorities for the BU
Develop strategy to simplify, improve and integrate the core quality systems and processes to ensure customer and business objectives are met
Systemically align quality systems and process improvement initiatives in support of BU, Sector and A&D strategies
Develop measures to ensure quality processes are effective and meeting customer and business objectives
Ensure quality solutions and initiatives are fully integrated with the BU’s business objectives, priorities, strategies, and mission
Own and manage department budget, ensuring Quality is actively contributing towards the Fluid Controls BU financial commitments
Be a SIOP supply owner that ensures appropriate engineering resources are available to meet resource demands from proposals, firm work, IR&D and indirect efforts
Develop meaningful relationships with customers, industry leaders and other Space and Defense peers to stay abreast of industry needs, trends and best practices

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering or business
At least 5 years' experience as a manager in a leadership role
Requires a working understanding of the AS9100 Standard and Regulatory Requirements
Proven track record of leading change initiatives
Proven capabilities implementing a Lean Management System to ensure changes are sustainable and drive a continuous improvement culture in the business unit
Significant experience in connecting the core processes with the appropriate systems, tools, and metrics to ensure compliance and effectiveness
Demonstrated ability as a power user of quality management and data analytical software (TipQA, Power BI, Spotfire, Visio, Minitab, etc.)
Experience in budgeting and cost control management
Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate continuous improvement activities and events
This job requires an active US Government security clearance or the ability to obtain one. This clearance requires U.S. citizenship
