Responsibilities

Responsible for delivery of quality employee services for HCSC employees and retirees which requires in-depth knowledge of policies related to salary and benefits administration, employee relations, wellness, or employee development
Responsible for leave functions of the Specialist including answering cases, emails from payroll and Dearborn and providing information to employees on Parental Leave, Short Term Disability (STD), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Personal Leave of Absence and Military Leave
Research and provide solutions to the more complex employee and retiree issues and concerns. Coordinate the delivery of solutions
Conduct and coordinate employee meetings and training programs e.g., wellness programs, new employee orientation, annual open enrollment or meetings regarding job elimination on an as needed basis. Perform quality audits on activities performed in the Employee Services area. Recommend areas for improvement in the delivery of services
Interface with outside vendors as needed
Interact effectively with all areas of HR to achieve satisfactory employee services. Ensure services are integrated with Management Solutions
Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with co-workers, management, customers, etc
Comply with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, Compliance Program policies and other applicable corporate and departmental policies
Maintain complete confidentiality of company business
Maintain communication with management regarding development within areas of assigned responsibilities and perform special or other projects as required or requested

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Business and 2 years' experience in a Human Resources environment in the following areas: salary administration, benefits administration, employee relations, wellness or employee development OR 4 years' direct Human Resources Experience in the following areas: salary administration, benefits administration, employee relations, wellness, or employee development
Service oriented and have desire to serve the customer
Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
Organized and detailed oriented with a high degree of confidentiality
Collaborative team player shifting in a fast-paced environment
Ability to handle stress and high volume situations where time is of the essence
Proficiency utilizing MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Workday

Preferred

Advanced knowledge of the Workday System
Knowledge of health insurance industry
