Responsibilities

Generate design and testing concepts to achieve the desired goals

Perform 3D mechanical design of components

Conduct tolerance analysis at system and subsystem levels

Perform analytical analysis for thermal and structural components and sub-modules

Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and CAD designers for prototype and pilot detailed design

Coordinate with machine shops or other suppliers to manufacture and procure custom hardware

Interact closely with development engineers, scientists, suppliers, and QA to resolve product and quality issues

Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Currently enrolled in an accredited college, pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum of two years of coursework completed

Proficient in using 3D CAD software, with a preference for Nx

Strong understanding of fluid dynamics and heat transfer principles

Experienced in processing and visualizing large data sets

Demonstrated ability to execute designs from concept through to hands-on testing and build

Ability to observe and respond to people and situations, and interact effectively with others

Capacity to learn and apply new information or skills

Proficiency in reading and interpreting data, information, and documents

Strong customer focus and commitment to customer satisfaction through prioritization, quality, efficiency, and professionalism

Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in completing assignments

Proven ability to perform effectively in a demanding environment with changing workloads

Result-driven, demonstrating ownership and accountability
