Responsibilities
Develop and execute the sales strategy to achieve revenue and margin targets by product line, segment, and geography; translate company and GM goals into clear targets and activity plans for the team while maintaining and growing a personal book of business
Define and maintain a practical coverage model (territories, account ownership, roles) and support the annual budget process with grounded forecasts and key initiatives
Own revenue and margin performance for the sales function, monitoring results by line of business (equipment, reman, service, PMs) and taking corrective action when off track, including for their own book of business
Build, manage, and, when necessary, restructure the sales team (outside/inside reps, account managers, and support roles) to match company needs and growth plans
Own all key people decisions for the sales team—hiring, development, performance management, and termination—in alignment with the GM and company values
Set clear expectations (roles, territories, goals, activity standards), run regular 1:1s and coaching sessions, address underperformance quickly, and drive a disciplined, accountable sales culture
Own the full pipeline from lead to close: ensure opportunities are qualified, advanced, and accurately maintained in NetSuite/CRM, and run regular pipeline reviews to assess coverage and needed actions
Deliver accurate monthly and quarterly forecasts with clear explanations of upside, downside, and risks; monitor key funnel metrics (win rate, deal size, cycle time) and drive improvement
Own pricing discipline and deal structure: Set and maintain price lists, discount structures, and guardrails with GM and Finance. Review and approve discounts and larger/strategic deals to protect margins while remaining competitive
Own and deepen relationships with key and strategic accounts (major health systems, labs, universities, and partner channels) and support reps in complex or critical deals
Work closely with Operations, Service, Warehouse/Procurement, and Finance to ensure realistic commitments on lead times, installs, and terms, and to ensure clean handoffs from sales to fulfillment and service
Gather and communicate market feedback (competition, pricing, product needs, customer trends) to the GM and broader leadership team, shaping offerings, positioning, and go-to-market priorities
Own the sales process and its integration with company systems: Define, document, and enforce a simple, consistent sales process from lead → quote → order → handoff. Ensure the team uses NetSuite/CRM correctly for quotes, approvals, and order entry
Partner with MIS and Finance to improve sales workflows and maintain clean, reliable customer and opportunity data
Maintain core sales dashboards and reports (pipeline, forecast, performance by rep/territory/product) and use them actively in managing the team
