Responsibilities
Manage authorizations, benefits verification, and CPT-level benefit summaries for clinical staff
Ensure accurate, timely claim submission and follow-through through payment and resolution
Track AR, identify trends, and proactively address denials, underpayments, and payer issues
Coordinate a structured transition from a third-party biller to internal billing
Develop clean, repeatable billing workflows, documentation standards, and internal controls
Partner with leadership to plan capacity and scale billing operations as volume increases
Over time, assume billing ownership for additional lines of business and higher-volume operations
Build and manage a billing team as growth milestones are reached
Qualification
Required
Experience with authorizations and benefits verification; strong attention to detail
Comfortable working with commercial HMOs and Medicaid billing workflows
Highly organized with strong follow-up discipline and ability to manage priorities independently
Professional communication skills; able to clearly translate coverage details and next steps to internal teams
