Inside Higher Ed is seeking an IT Business Systems Analyst III to serve as a Senior lead for the functional and technical implementation of the Banner Finance Module. The role involves identifying and implementing technological solutions to improve operational performance and efficiency, acting as a liaison between functional offices and technical personnel, and managing the Finance module and third-party software utilized by the Finance department.

Responsibilities

Serve as a Senior lead for the functional and technical implementation of the Banner Finance Module

Identify and implement technological solutions with the goal of improving operational performance and efficiency

Facilitates implementation of technology solutions in a cost-effective way by determining the requirements of a project or program and communicating them clearly to stakeholders, facilitators, and partners

Liaison between functional offices and technical personnel to elicit requirements, translate requirements to technical specifications, and ultimately ensure the outcome is valuable to the organization

Coordinate and collaborate with the other departments within the Finance Department to create a seamless Banner Finance experience

Creation of SQL reports to assist departments in becoming more efficient and effective with the Banner Finance Modules

Serve as the technical and operational lead in the development, modification, maintenance, and compliance of the Finance Policies and Procedures

Manage the Finance module and any other 3rd party software utilized by the Finance department

Look for efficiencies through constant oversight of technical Business Processes as they relate to day-to-day operations, finance module operations, and other office procedures

Provide analysis and problem resolution for Finance Department staff regarding transactional processing and Banner system issues

Monitor and analyze software upgrades from Ellucian Banner and perform testing for system upgrades (i.e. Banner, etc.)

Create and maintain procedural manuals for IT and Systems processes for the Finance Department

Required

Master's degree and 2‐4 years experience; or Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related area and 3‐5 years experience in the information technology field related to the position's role
