Responsibilities

Patient recruiting and screening, checking and documenting vital signs, performing interviews at the Clinical Research Unit and the participant’s home, traditional laboratory experiments and activities, process specimens, informatics, field interviewer recruiting, screening and training, and/or laboratories
Maintains adequate lab supplies inventory to ensure timely lab and clinical activities achievement
Collects research data, maintains accurate records to include, information, and databases, corrects data discrepancies, etc. as needed by the research project
Stays abreast of new and updated protocols for the research department
Monitors laboratory and/or other supplies to ensure sufficient inventory to support research projects. Ensures quality and expiration date of tubes and other supplies
As needed, help with the work at the laboratory, support staff, and other assistants to ensure efficient, timely, and high-quality results. Answers questions or resolves problems regarding routine or more complex duties
Complies with all governmental and University policies, rules, regulations, and codes
May participate in continuing education programs, workshops, training, and seminars
Performs other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in lieu of education
General knowledge of research fields
No years of experience
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds constantly and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects
This position may include work involving potentially hazardous chemical, biological or radioactive agents
Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas
