Research department - Business Outlook Survey Summer Intern
The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia is seeking a Junior or Senior undergraduate student for a summer internship in the Research Department. The role involves working with business surveys, evaluating regional data, and gaining exposure to survey research.

Responsibilities
Working with business surveys for the regional economics section of the Research Department
Evaluating regional data using published sources as well as gathering information from the department’s own regional business surveys
Gaining exposure to survey research including the Manufacturing Business Outlook Survey
Learning about various aspects of survey production (including compilation of survey questions, data collection, and analysis)
Improving data quality and maintenance of a panel data set
Assisting in discrete tasks on other Regional Economic Analysis Team projects as time permits
Participating in research department seminars and meetings of the regional economics group
Qualification
Required
Rising Junior or Senior undergraduate student or graduate level student
Major in Computer Science or related field or Economics
Experience with data and data manipulation
Advanced capabilities in Excel, STATA, or Access
Experience with programming skills
Knowledge of R
Experience/familiarity with statistical/econometric software
Strong attention to detail
Organizational skills
Initiative
Substantive communication skills
Ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time
Work authorization to prove eligibility to work in the United States
