New Grad, Entry LevelAVNA is seeking a Maintenance Janitor to handle light mechanical work and basic janitorial duties at their New Britain facility. The role involves performing scheduled maintenance on machines, general custodial care, and reporting issues to the facilities manager.

Responsibilities
Perform scheduled PM’s on machines
Fix building repairs as needed
Assist in non-scheduled maintenance to ensure the steady flow of production
General custodial care of the building to include but not limited to
Cleaning of offices, café, and meeting spaces
Vacuuming
Cleaning windows
Removal of trash
Setting up for events
Install necessary replacement parts as needed
Inspect and troubleshoot various equipment and systems
Test the functionality of the facilities safety systems
Report to facilities or maintenance manager regarding issues resolved, those needing attention, and those currently in progress
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent work experience
Ability to work independently
Experience using hand and electrical tools
Ability to operator power equipment
Carpentry skills (minimal requirement)
Plumbing skills (minimal requirement)
Ability to operator forklift
Perform work within the standards set by OSHA
Lift and carry up to 10 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
