ASSOCIATE OIL AND GAS ENGINEER
The Department of Conservation (DOC) administers a variety of programs vital to California's public safety, environment, and economy. The Associate Oil and Gas Engineer will focus on implementing the Idle Well and Pipeline and Facility programs, preparing permits and evaluating technical requirements for various oil and gas projects.

Responsibilities
Under general direction of the Senior Oil and Gas Engineer (Supervisor), the incumbent will primarily serve as an Associate Oil and Gas Engineer (AOGE) for the Permitting, Idle Well, and Pipeline and Facility unit in CalGEM’s Northern District Sacramento office
This position will focus on the implementation of the Idle Well and the Pipeline and Facility programs
The incumbent will prepare permits documenting technical requirements for operations based on a technical evaluation of proposed oil, gas, and geothermal projects, gas storage projects, Class II injection projects, and state abandonment operations
