The State of Delaware's Office of Defense Services is committed to ensuring fair treatment in the justice system and is seeking a motivated attorney for a full-time role in Sussex County. The attorney will primarily handle a felony trial caseload and represent clients in various court proceedings.

Responsibilities
Defending clients in felony trials in the Superior Court
Representing clients at violation of probation hearings
Participating in specialty court proceedings
Connecting clients with needed services
Challenging systemic barriers that deepen inequity
Advocating for outcomes that promote healing, stability, and stronger communities
Qualification
Required
Admitted, or pending admission, to the Delaware Bar
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Satisfactory criminal background check
Direct deposit of paychecks is required
Preferred
Experience in criminal law
Strong interest in criminal law and litigation experience
