Responsibilities
Manage the complete fixed asset lifecycle, including preparing and recording journal entries for additions, disposals, and depreciation, and reconciling the fixed asset subledger to the general ledger
Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close activities, assisting with the preparation of financial statements and maintaining compliance with GAAP
Prepare monthly budget vs. actual variance reports for a portfolio of 40+ properties, researching and resolving P&L inquiries
Collaborate with finance, IT, and operations teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and support external audit and tax inquiries
Contribute to ad hoc projects and process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and financial integrity
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3+ years of relevant accounting experience, including specific experience in fixed asset accounting
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Preferred
Experience with Sage FAS and/or Oracle NetSuite
Experience in the real estate or hospitality industry
