Transit Management Analyst Series (EAM)

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is seeking an Analyst for their Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Team within the Department of Subways. The role involves supporting the EAM Program as a technical resource for data management, overseeing the lifecycle of assets, and leading projects related to the EAM software implementation.

Responsibilities

Support the EAM Program as a technical resource for data analysis and management
Assisting in the design, communication and rollout of new EAM projects, occasionally leading projects from start to finish
Liaison between the user groups and the technical team
Prepare reports, charts, graphs, maps, and drawings to communicate data findings
Highly organized, process and detail oriented
Define and document strategies for integration, system, and performance testing
Test web-based and mobile applications, ensuring technical specifications are met and function according to design

Required

Either a Master's degree in a relevant field OR a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years relevant work experience
Proven ability to work with Project Management teams to allocate resources across various projects, understanding dependencies, competing priorities and deliverables
Proficiency in MS Office tools including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to multitask and coordinate multiple simultaneous high priority efforts
Ability to communicate with all levels of employment, from hourly employees to senior management, both written and verbal
A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and two (2) years of full-time satisfactory professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports. One (1) year of experience must have been in the transportation industry
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in "1" above; and three (3) years of full-time satisfactory experience as described in "1" above. One (1) year of this experience must have been in the transportation industry
A master's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience working in budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, engineering, in management or methods of analysis, operations research, organization research or program evaluation, personnel or public administration, staff development, employment program planning or administration, security management; or general administration
A satisfactory combination of education and experience; however, all candidates must have a bachelor's degree

Preferred

Knowledge & appreciation of New York City Transit system
Previous project experience related to public transportation or urban infrastructure systems
Knowledge of HxGN, Jira, Confluence, Power BI, HP ALM
Experience writing technical specifications, use cases and design documentation
Understanding of data modeling and database structures
