Responsibilities
Maintain, install, repair, start-up/commissioning, operate, and troubleshoot critical utilities and systems related to sterilization equipment and support systems including steam boilers, hot water, chiller, and nitrogen system
Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot the Sterilization building HVAC, electrical, lighting and plumbing systems
Manages outside contractors during specialized projects and during routine services regarding sterilization equipment and support systems
Offers expertise in regards to continuous improvement, quality improvement, and cost reduction efforts related to sterilization equipment processes, support systems, and functions Coordinate annual equipment requalification
Assess spare part inventories to ensure adequate supply on-hand
Perform calibration duties as required
Participate on the sterilization Emergency Response Team
Work overtime as needed by the department
Work flexible hours as business needs require, including annual plant shutdowns
Be on call to handle all after hours and weekend calls for repairs
Comply with all local, state, federal, and BD safety regulations, policies, and procedures including RCRA Hazardous Waste regulations
Comply with all local BD quality policies, procedures, and practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
Skilled trade Certificate/Journeyman's License or 2-5 years of experience in related area
