Responsibilities
Install, administer, and troubleshoot software and hardware issues for security tools
Update software with the latest security patches and maintain network security configurations
Evaluate and review existing DSHS cybersecurity tools and controls to identify gaps and recommend improvements
Implement risk reduction plans for the DSHS organization
Design, prepare, and present documentation such as project plans, status reports, briefings, and stakeholder communication materials
Conduct research, interviews, meetings, and workshops to understand strategic objectives and identify opportunities for improvement
Interact extensively with internal and external stakeholders to analyze and resolve complex security issues
Perform editing and manage updates to technical documentation for clarity and cohesiveness
Provide progress reporting documents and briefing materials as required
Qualification
Required
3 years – Experience evaluating and reviewing cybersecurity tools and controls to determine gaps and implement risk reduction plans
3 years – Experience designing and presenting project documentation (plans, reports, briefings)
3 years – Experience conducting research and workshops to understand organizational objectives and challenges
3 years – Experience interacting with stakeholders to identify and resolve complex security issues
3 years – Experience fulfilling basic project management duties (charters, risk/resource management)
3 years – Experience editing and managing updates to technical documentation and providing progress reports
Preferred
5 years – Advanced experience evaluating and reviewing cybersecurity tools and implementing risk reduction plans
5 years – Advanced experience designing and presenting project documentation
5 years – Advanced experience conducting organizational research and workshops
5 years – Advanced experience interacting with stakeholders to resolve complex security gaps
5 years – Advanced experience in project management for short-term engagements
5 years – Advanced experience editing technical documentation and managing updates
