Satwic Inc is seeking a Geographic Information Systems(GIS) Specialist to support critical infrastructure mapping and emergency response systems. The role involves data collection, web map dashboard deployment, and geospatial edits to enhance 911 response times.

Responsibilities

Modifying street and boundary data to ensure faster response times
Modifying point data of commonplaces in the city of Los Angeles which assist when users call 911 from these locations
Editing city, basic car, and Reporting Districts polygon boundaries, ensuring no gaps or overlaps in the result polygons
Building digital twins in support of LA28 and other major events
Handling map creation and print requests
Changing paper and ink in plotter printer, other plotter maintenance tasks as require
Python scripting and automation tasks to capture and maintain data, and create maps

Qualification

ESRI ArcGISGeospatial data editingWeb map applicationsPython scripting3D models knowledgeTeamworkCommunicationProblem-solving

Required

Proficiency in editing geospatial data, running topologies, and testing
Scripting skills to automate simple and more sophisticated GIS tasks
Ability to create and deploy web map applications within the ArcGIS platform
Knowledge of working with 3D models and digital twins
Physical fitness to work with plotter printers and associated hardware
Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred

Some Python scripting experience would be preferred
