Responsibilities
Provide engineering support for new product development and enhancements to existing products
Translate customer needs into engineering requirements, product specifications, packaging, and process requirements
Contribute innovative concepts to improve product performance and usability
Apply engineering fundamentals to design robust, manufacturable products
Develop and execute moderately complex experiments and tests, including writing and executing test protocols
Define test methods, measurement equipment, test setups, and data analysis approaches
Analyze test results, make recommendations, and document findings
Write detailed technical reports supporting design verification and design changes
Create and update design control documentation, including requirement specifications and risk management documents
Generate work instructions, test methods, engineering drawings, and prototypes
Participate in technical and cross-functional project work
Assign R&D support tasks and provide direction to technicians
Train technicians, provide feedback, and coordinate testing activities
Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers, including defining tolerances and acceptance criteria
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering preferred)
1–5 years of engineering experience in medical devices
Experience working with lab and/or industrial equipment (as applicable)
Basic understanding of statistical techniques
Preferred
Proficiency with MS Office Suite; CAD experience preferred
Strong documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Solid problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders
High attention to detail and ability to interact professionally at all organizational levels
