Production Control Scheduler (Avionics)

Responsibilities
Manage resource schedules and partner with the operations team to execute tight timelines while effectively communicating expected completion dates to customers
Lead efforts to evaluate critical production processes (batching strategy, lead-time, workflow) and provide recommendations for sustainable solutions
Participate in master scheduling process / integration-level decisions
Utilize knowledge of upstream/downstream work centers to improve communication and efficiency
Provide recommendations on data inputs such as yield, lead times, and batching strategies
Educate production on and drive improvements to internal MRP/ERP systems to ensure work is scheduled and prioritized accurately and efficiently, and resources are allocated appropriately
Create tools/processes that improve overall team scheduling methods, including streamlining inputs from and outputs to engineering, production, supply chain, and business management
Partner with the internal systems team to roll out large-scale projects as necessary
Reduce time spent on manual data inputs into reporting tools
Improve reporting formats to create better visibility to action owners- summarize data for tactical operations needs as well as executive level summaries
Develop, improve, and analyze metrics that tie production to enterprise goals
Provide daily visibility, weekly status, and monthly reviews on schedule performance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of manufacturing scheduling experience
Strong communication skills
Understanding of data analytics and manufacturing operations
Ability to flourish in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Ability to guide cross-functional teams
Strong initiative and creativity in problem-solving
Willingness to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed
Flexibility in schedule depending on site operational needs
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, Refugee, or Asylee, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
Preferred
Experience with SQL or Python
Experience creating user-friendly, action-oriented visuals with Power BI
Familiarity with lean principles, six sigma, and Kaizen concepts
Project management professional certification OR 2+ years of practical experience with ERP/MRP systems in a production environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting to and influencing a variety of stakeholders
Experience working both autonomously and as a team in a highly demanding and fast-paced environment
