Jobot is a growing aerospace startup committed to ushering in a new era of flight. They are seeking a dynamic Consulting Embedded Software Engineer who will play a crucial role in the development and design of embedded software systems, ensuring high-quality and efficient software solutions.

Computer Software

Responsibilities

Design, develop, code, test, and debug system software for embedded systems
Review code and design analyses
Integrate and validate new product designs
Support software QA and optimize I/O performance
Provide post-production support when necessary
Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
Tailor and deploy software tools, processes, and metrics
Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor junior developers
Collaborate with stakeholders to define system requirements and necessary modifications
Maintain documentation of process flow and design changes
Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
A minimum of 5 years of experience in embedded software engineering
Proven experience in embedded systems design with preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems
Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review techniques
Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets
Solid programming experience in C or C++
Proven experience in embedded software design, development, and debugging
Proficient with Matlab and Simulink
Strong documentation and writing skills
Excellent knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces, and hardware subsystems
Adequate knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for components
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
