Responsibilities

Monitor and manage production orders: Review planning schedules and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to understand material requirements and delivery dates
Identify languishing parts in fabrication and take steps to expedite them through production
Help set priorities, "hot jobs” for fabrication department to ensure assembly department shave all of the parts they need to complete their assemblies in an efficient manner
Maintains or assists with maintenance of inventories and has adjustments made as needed
Analyze work methods, sequences, etc. identify opportunities for improvement. Use problem solving skills to resolve issues and improve manufacturing processes
Interface daily with Engineering, Production Planning (PDM), Purchasing, and Quality as needed to ensure all obstacles to meeting production goals are overcome

Coordinate material movement: pull, stage, and deliver materials to work centers to ensure they are available when needed for production
Act as a point of contact to identify and resolve material shortages or other factors that could impact production
Track inventory and schedule adherence: Monitor the location of materials and work-in-progress and help ensure that production schedules are being met without interruption
Manage finished goods: Ensure finished goods are stored in the proper locations after production

Required

High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's degree preferred
2-5 years in production management in a Lean/Continuous Improvement environment
Proficient with ERP systems and Microsoft office suite; Visual ERP software a plus
Strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills
Deadline driven and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to work strategically as well as tactically
Proven experience developing and mentoring direct reports
Reliable, good work ethic, high integrity
