Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure successful project delivery
Manage all aspects of projects including scope, schedule, budget, and quality control
Foster a collaborative team environment while mentoring and supporting the professional development of staff
Partner with senior leadership to develop and validate project scope, fees, budgets, consultant contracts, and schedules
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear, consistent communication throughout all project phases
Translate client goals and operational requirements into design solutions, including space planning, materials, specifications, cost estimates, and timelines
Manage projects using Deltek Vantagepoint, including work plans, budgets, consultant coordination, additional services, and financial performance
Lead and participate in schematic design, design development, and construction document work sessions with clients and consultants
Review documents for compliance with applicable building, accessibility, and regulatory codes
Ensure construction documents align with design intent, firm standards, and project profitability goals
Implement and maintain our Quality Assurance Program throughout the project lifecycle
Support marketing and business development efforts, including proposal development and client presentations
Identify potential new business opportunities and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or equivalent experience; Master's Degree preferred
Minimum of 20 years of architectural experience, including significant experience as a Project Manager
Proven experience delivering healthcare, commercial, or government projects across all project phases
Active architectural license required; NCARB registration preferred
Proficiency in Revit, Newforma, and Microsoft Office; Deltek Vantagepoint experience a plus
Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills
Demonstrated knowledge of building systems, construction methods, sustainability principles, and current design trends
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a collaborative team environment
Valid driver's license and willingness to use a personal insured vehicle for work-related travel
Preferred
Master's Degree preferred
Experience with design-build and developer-driven projects preferred
NCARB registration preferred
LEED Green Associate accreditation preferred
