Responsibilities
Manage and develop a high performing team of professional field sales individuals
Monitor and assess individual sales team member performance and growth
Negotiate web linkages, publication visibility, conference call participation, operational support and training resources to drive new business flow
Proactively bring sales ideas/concepts and growth strategies to distribution partners
Provide strategic direction and oversight on assigned team(s) sales goals and objectives
Allocate, oversee and adhere to financial budgets for assigned region and enforce Athene’s Travel & Entertainment Policy & Procedures
Coordinate necessary internal resources and calendars when planning joint meetings and events
Determine and help construct Channel Value Add components
Establish and assume responsibility for individual distributor meetings, conferences and marketing calendars
In partnership with National Sales Manager, identify and recruit channel sales team talent
Qualification
Required
10+ years' experience in external wholesale role that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position
3+ years of managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience including influencing senior management/critical stakeholders experience required
State insurance license required
Registered Principal license required
6, 63, 26, Life and Health licenses required within first 6 months
Annuities experience is essential
Strong negotiation skills
Excellent communication skills; written and verbal
75% travel
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required
