Responsibilities
Develop, document, and optimize CNC machining processes for metal components
Create and maintain CNC programs using CAD/CAM; support prove-out and production release
Support CNC machining operations with troubleshooting and process improvements
Select tools, define cutting parameters, and establish surface finish requirements
Create and update manufacturing drawings and supporting production documentation
Design and validate gauges and fixtures to support production and inspection
Apply GD&T to manufacturing and inspection requirements
Implement Lean/Six Sigma improvements to reduce waste and improve quality and throughput
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
Experience supporting CNC machining operations in a production environment
CNC programming experience with CAD/CAM
SolidWorks proficiency
Experience with machining process development: tool selection, cutting methods, surface finishing, and metal materials
Experience creating manufacturing drawings for production
Experience designing gauges and fixtures
Working knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methods
Working knowledge of GD&T
Preferred
FeatureCAM experience
Experience improving cycle times, tool life, and scrap rates through process optimization
Experience establishing inspection methods and measurement strategies for machined parts
