Responsibilities
Perform the day-to-day portfolio management and trading function for high yield bond funds, separately managed accounts and high yield credit allocations from broader fixed income strategies
Support trade execution and manage the high yield trading process
Maintain and improve tools used for allocation and management of high yield positions
Provide frequent written and verbal updates to senior leadership on high yield portfolio positioning and the high yield market opportunity set
Qualification
Required
Minimum of eight years of experience in the securities industry
Minimum of three years spent investing in high yield credit in either a portfolio management, research analyst or trading capacity
Bachelor's Degree from a reputable university or college with strong academic performance and relevant coursework
Excellent math/finance and strong computer skills, particularly MS Excel
Proficiency with Bloomberg
Diligent, hard-working, responsible, willing to work both in a team setting and independently, and have proven these characteristics
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task in a trade room atmosphere
Entrepreneurial attitude; creativity to search out investment opportunities
Preferred
Prior experience in high yield portfolio management
