Responsibilities

Provide transportation analysis for internal/external and business leadership
Tactical and strategic demand as it relates to transportation analysis for the DeKalb Campus. Ensure resources are aligned based on customer work content necessary to meet service expectations at the lowest cost
Handle inquiries of moderate scope and complexity. Use intermediate to advanced analytical skills to interpret information, examine variables, draw conclusions, and clearly present findings/recommendations
Build queries/tools/reports to drive operational efficiency
Leverage campus data to prioritize and execute the most impactful opportunities
Responsible for reconciling service results and improvement activities related to transportation
Lead and participate in Lean Six Sigma (LSS) projects to reduce cost and/or improve service
Month-end/quarter-end execution and shipping analysis as it relates to transportation
Participate in activities focused on improving forecast accuracy and communication with the business

Required

Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status)

Preferred

Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business, Science, or Engineering from an accredited institution
Completed a minimum of sophomore year (4 semesters) by the start of the internship
Current cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
Experience in supply chain, operations, and/or logistics in a private, public, government or military environment (internship/coop experience applies)
Experience leading Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and/or other projects
Experience in the use of statistical tools and data analysis in problem solving
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
