Research Assistant
University of Iowa Research is seeking a Research Assistant to participate in clinical trials research work. The role involves recruiting research subjects, collecting and recording data, and ensuring compliance with study protocols and Federal Regulations.
Research
Responsibilities
Assists in the collection of data obtained from research subjects
Explains the study to the participants; assists in obtaining consent to be enrolled in protocol
Administers assigned aspects of the various study components
Assists in the preparation of IRB forms, reports, modifications and continuing reviews
Maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, patients, and families
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in related scientific field
General understanding of scientific principles. Demonstrated performance to use knowledge and skills when needed
Demonstrated ability to apply theoretical knowledge of science principals to problem solve work
General computer skills and ability to quickly learn computer programs, databases, and scientific applications
Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to accurately complete detailed work
Preferred
Technical writing experience in SOP's, protocols, and reports
Possess initiative, ability to multi-task and a desire to acquire new technical skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and collaborators
Utilization of good documentation practices
