The Pipe Support Engineer will locate and design supports for piping systems and perform associated calculations for the Sentinel program.

Responsibilities

Utilize knowledge of common pipe support hardware, industry standards, and relevant codes such as AISC and ASME B31.3

Work closely with layout personnel and pipe stress engineers to deliver a quality and cost-effective design

Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as required

Perform work in a 3D model environment

6 or more years of related experience

Ability to review/approve piping layouts & support requirements per DoD standards/ASME B31.3

Familiarity with common pipe support hardware, industry standards, and relevant codes such as AISC & ASME B31.3

Hands-on experience using a stress analysis program

Prior experience working in a 3D model environment

GT Strudl for support/frame analysis experience, or a similar tool

Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline
