Executive Director
Adirondack Roots is a housing organization serving the rural Adirondacks, providing vital assistance to people seeking safe, secure homes. The Executive Director will be responsible for the overall strategic, operational, and financial leadership of the organization, working closely with the Board of Directors and local communities to fulfill its mission of affordable housing solutions.

Work closely with the Board of Directors, staff, stakeholders, and local communities
Fulfill the organization’s mission of providing affordable housing solutions to Adirondack communities
Build on Adirondack Roots’ financial strength and reputation for excellence to expand the organization’s resources and deepen its impact in the community
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 7-10 years of senior leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a nonprofit organization, preferably in housing, urban development, or community development
Familiarity with affordable housing policies, financing, regulations, and community development strategies
Proven ability to lead teams, inspire staff, and collaborate with stakeholders
Experience in securing funding through grants, individual donations, corporate sponsorships, and public sector resources
Strong understanding of nonprofit financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement programs, policies, and strategic initiatives that drive mission-driven success
A deep passion for housing, community development, & the Adirondack region
Bachelor's degree
