They are seeking an experienced Lead Business Development Representative to build and execute their outbound motion targeting legal, compliance, risk, and governance leaders.

Responsibilities

Build the BDR Playbook - Design and continuously refine outbound strategies, messaging frameworks, templates, and multi-channel sequences tailored to legal and compliance buyers
Execute High-Quality Outbound - Generate pipeline through cold calling, email, video messaging, LinkedIn, and targeted event/conference outreach, with a strong focus on legal and compliance stakeholders
Own Sales Tech & AI Tooling - Manage and optimize AI-driven sales tools (e.g. Clay or similar) for list building, enrichment, personalization, and performance tracking
Collaborate Closely with Sales - Partner with Account Executives to qualify and convert opportunities, supporting mid-market deals (~$75k ACV) and enterprise deals (up to ~$200k ACV)
Lay the Foundation for Scale - Bring our currently outsourced BDR function in-house and help define hiring, onboarding, and performance standards for future BDRs

Required

LegalTech experience is essential - you have sold into legal teams, compliance functions, or regulated legal environments (LegalTech, compliance SaaS, regulatory tech, or similar)
3+ years of BDR or outbound sales experience in B2B SaaS, ideally with mid-market and enterprise customers
Demonstrated success building outbound playbooks and running multi-channel campaigns (cold calling, email, video, LinkedIn)
Strong understanding of how legal, risk, and compliance teams evaluate and buy software
Highly tech-savvy, with hands-on experience using sales automation, enrichment, and AI-driven tools
Comfortable working autonomously in an early-stage startup with minimal structure
Clear, credible communicator who can navigate complex, multi-stakeholder buying processes
