Infectious Disease- Assistant/Associate Professor, Tenure or Research Scholar Pathway

The University of Vermont is a leader in patient care, medical education, and research, seeking outstanding candidates for a faculty position in the Division of Infectious Disease. The successful candidate will establish and maintain an independent research program in infectious disease epidemiology and direct the Human and Population Research Core within the TGIR Center.

Responsibilities

Establish and maintain an independent, externally funded research program in human infectious disease epidemiology that complements and enhances existing TGIR faculty expertise
Direct and expand the TGIR Center’s Human and Population Research (HPR) Core, which supports faculty conducting human and population-based research on globally important infectious diseases

Required

PhD-level epidemiologist (or equivalent terminal degree)
Postdoctoral training
Record of external funding, commensurate with career stage
Experience securing funding from diverse sources
Experience with clinical and translational research methods, including human subjects protections, clinical trials, regulatory requirements, and investigational product development
Familiarity with study design, biostatistics, data management, and biorepository infrastructure
Demonstrated success in team leadership, collaboration, and mentorship
Strong commitment to UVM's mission and advancing Our Common Ground values through teaching, service, research, scholarship, or creative arts
A separate statement detailing how they would enhance the impact of Our Common Ground values and professionalism
