Responsibilities
Gather, analyze, and synthesize large and sometimes incomplete data sets with efficiency, discernment, and accuracy
Create, analyze, and maintain 13-week cash flow models and other financial models critical to client decision-making
Support bankruptcy preparation and administration activities
Prepare pitch materials, client deliverables, confidential information memoranda, and management presentations using sources such as Debtwire, SEC filings, company websites, and Capital IQ
Engage directly with senior management teams, boards, and key stakeholders across all phases of distressed advisory work and transaction execution
Leverage Excel, PowerPoint, and other tools to craft clear, compelling deliverables that support client communication and strategic alignment
Qualification
Required
BA/BS degree and/or MBA/MS in Accounting, Finance, or other analytical fields
2–3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or another environment providing formal financial modeling training
Strong understanding of financial statements and demonstrated ability to design, build, and use sophisticated financial models
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate proactively and professionally with clients and SCP leadership
Ability to work well under pressure—balancing independent initiative with sound judgment on when to seek guidance
A critical thinker with the perspicacity to rapidly evaluate companies, situations, and financial information
Assertive, self-motivated, and driven to succeed in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where stewardship and connectivity matter
Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
