Social Catering Sales Manager
Black Desert Resort, located in the stunning landscape of Southern Utah, offers a premier luxury experience with world-class accommodations, fine dining, and exceptional event spaces. The Social Catering Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales and managing the planning and execution of weddings, galas, private celebrations, and other special occasions.

Responsibilities
Solicit, book, and manage social catering events, including weddings, private parties, and social gatherings
Develop and maintain relationships with event planners, local businesses, and potential clients to drive sales
Responsible for managing vendors, creating timelines, and ensuring that all details are executed flawlessly
Conduct site visits and client meetings, showcasing the resort’s venues, dining options, and event capabilities
Prepare and present customized proposals and contracts tailored to client needs
Collaborate with the culinary and banquet teams to ensure seamless event execution and exceptional guest experiences
Constant communication with appropriate Black Desert Resort team members to make sure event details are relayed to the proper people for successful execution
Address any last minute/event day needs with the proper departments or vendors to ensure facility is clean and set up to the client’s specifications including (but not limited to) cocktail hour, decorations, floral arrangements, photo needs/schedules, music, food, tent set up if needed, etc
Coordinate and oversee or assign oversight of all activities during entire event day, including setup, vendor arrivals, ceremony, reception and teardown
Work closely with the Marketing team to promote weddings, catering and social event offerings through social media, print, and digital campaigns
Maintain accurate records in the CRM system, tracking sales activity, pipeline status, and revenue performance
Provide on-site support for major events, ensuring flawless execution and guest satisfaction
Assist in creating pricing strategies and special event packages to optimize revenue
Stay current with trends in the industry to ensure Black Desert Resort stands out as a premiere wedding & event venue
Additional duties as assigned Director of Catering and Conference Services
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in social catering sales, event planning, or hospitality sales in a luxury resort or high-end venue
Proven track record of achieving sales goals and securing high-value events
Strong knowledge of wedding and social event trends, catering operations, and banquet service
Excellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills
Proficiency in CRM systems, event management software, and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal departments
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple clients and events
Professional demeanor with the ability to interact with high-end clientele
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to accommodate event schedules
