Responsibilities
Directly manage, mentor, and evaluate a team of Major Gift Officers
Recruit and develop team members directly and indirectly through regular meetings
Ensure strong communication and collaboration amongst team members, general staff, and Friars across other apostolates of the Province, especially the DSPT (Dominican School of Philosophy & Theology), SAP (St Albert’s Priory), and the St Jude Shrine
Steward a personal portfolio of active major gift prospects and donors
Execute personalized strategies for engagement and solicitation
Maintains regular contact with donors via phone calls, emails, and mailings
In coordination with the Executive Director of Advancement, develop and strengthen a sustainable Major Giving program that meets annual revenue and engagement targets
Lead the Major Gifts team in moves management, ensuring that every donor in the portfolio has a clear, written strategy for cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship
Lead the team in qualifying new major gift prospects through discovery calls, visits, and stewardship pieces
Qualification
Required
Abides by the Catholic Church's teachings on faith and morals and exemplifies standards of Christian conduct
Strong affinity and familiarity with the Order of Preachers, specifically the Western Dominican Province
Proven experience in cultivating and soliciting five and six-figure gifts
Track record of leading a team with growing performance
Experience hiring, training, and retaining top talent
5 - 7 years of professional advancement experience, with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Bias for action, able to take initiative and solve problems
Excellent relationship building skills and social intelligence
Humble team player who collaborates well with others
