Multi-Skill Technician

Responsibilities

Maintain an incident free workplace by adhering to various Company safety programs
Utilize computer software to perform various data input, product tracking, reporting, and company communication
Perform Maintenance and mechanical repairs on Equipment/machinery
Plan and coordinate field activities and jobs to increase reliability and maximize efficiency
Collaborate with support teams to plan and execute maintenance activities to gain efficiency and to maximize reliability
Understand and use specialty tools for inspections on piping, equipment, and facilities
Understand and use specialty tools to perform maintenance on piping, equipment, and facilities
Assist in the construction, maintenance, and repairs of pipeline equipment and terminal facilities throughout operating area
This will include travel and overnight stays, duration can vary in regards to operational needs
Work with internal experts and third-party vendors to enhance current work practices and processes with the maintenance teams
Permit and provide safety oversight of contractors as needed
Perform to highest safety standards, including reporting all incidents and discrepancies
Understand the scope of work for safety and production impacts
Read and understand station flow and pipeline alignment drawings
Maintain pipeline station operations including valve line-ups, starting/stopping pumps

Required

Perform to highest safety standards, including reporting all incidents and discrepancies
Motivated individual with integrity and strong work ethic
Ability to communicate (read, write, and speak) effectively
Strong ability to understand/follow written procedures, solid verbal/written communication skills
Ability to plan daily work activities in accordance with established Company and Regulatory procedures
Basic mechanical knowledge
Robust ability to problem solve/critical thinking, organizational skills, troubleshooting mechanical & electrical equipment
Ability to operate hand tools, probe the pipeline and use of other equipment needed to accomplish assigned tasks
Working with forklift, snowplowing truck, ladder, lift, etc
Demonstrated ability to maintain a consistent safe work ethic
Knowledge of emergency response procedures
Must be willing and able to attend / complete required training courses
Must be willing and able to work in small team environments
Must be willing and able to work in various locations, both indoors and outdoors, in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures
Must be able to respond to emergency situations and callouts within 1 hour of notification
Able to use Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
General filing and data entry
Must have safe driving skills
Must possess a valid driver's license

Preferred

Must be self-driven and self-motivated to perform daily work with limited supervision
Must come with strong work ethic and integrity
Ability to plan daily work activities in accordance with established Company and Regulatory procedures
Ability to operate hand tools or other pipeline equipment to accomplish assigned tasks
Ability to communicate (read, write, and speak) effectively
Ability to navigate a continuously changing schedule with a moment's notice, while still maintaining sight of previous work
Demonstrated ability to maintain a consistent safe work ethic
Able to use Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Must be willing and able to attend/complete required training courses
Must be willing and able to work alone and in small team environments
Must be willing and able to work in various locations, both indoors and outdoors, in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures
Ability to work overtime and respond to callouts as needed. 24/7
Strong ability to read and understand station flow, P&IDs, and pipeline alignment drawings
Robust ability to problem solve/critical thinking, organizational skills, troubleshooting mechanical & electrical equipment
Knowledge of emergency response procedures and DOT motor carrier regulations
Must have safe driving skills
Must possess a valid driver's license
