Accounts Receivable Specialist

LHH is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist responsible for managing the full cycle of accounts receivable activities. The role includes billing, cash application, and collections to ensure timely processing of invoices and resolution of outstanding balances.

Responsibilities

Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices in accordance with company policies and contractual terms
Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on past-due accounts to ensure timely collection of payments
Apply customer payments to the correct accounts and invoices, reconciling discrepancies as needed
Communicate with clients regarding billing inquiries, payment status, and account discrepancies in a professional manner
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing issues and support customer satisfaction
Maintain detailed records of collection efforts, payment arrangements, and account status updates
Assist with month-end closing activities and provide reporting on accounts receivable performance
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements

Required

Proven experience in accounts receivable, billing, and collections in a business-to-business environment
Strong understanding of accounting principles and cash application processes
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Excellent communication and negotiation skills for interacting with clients and internal teams
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience with ERP systems or advanced accounting platforms
Knowledge of credit analysis and risk management practices
