Responsibilities
Own the design, development, validation, and release of switch components
Partner with cross-functional teams (suppliers, program teams, studio, ergonomics, purchasing) to meet performance, cost, and timing targets
Guide suppliers in delivering DFMEA, DVP&R, 8D, specifications, drawings, and quality documentation
Conduct technical design reviews and support development of engineering and diagnostic specifications
Resolve component issues using Ford development tools and support vehicle launches as needed
Drive continuous improvement using lessons learned and quality feedback
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience developing electromechanical or electrical/electronic components (automotive preferred)
Background in Design & Release engineering with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience working with suppliers and cross-functional teams
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
BS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering
Preferred
Master of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering
